Griffin Andrews
Griffin Andrews’ earliest memories of music are playing on pots and
pans on the kitchen floor of his childhood home. Music had always been
around in his family; his father sang in a band and heavily influenced
Griffin’s music tastes. When Griffin was 7, he was gifted a white marble
drum kit that his late uncle used. That ignited a fire in him and led
to pursuing music and drumming all throughout his life. He played
percussion in middle school and started drum lessons to learn rudiments,
how to read sheet music, and how to develop those skills on the drum
kit. Griffin was in his first band in 2013 called ‘2% static’. They
mostly played covers and had an original song. In high school, Griffin
marched bass drum in marching band and cymbals in winter drumline.
Currently, Griffin is the drummer of a pop punk band that plays originals at local gigs. He also plays guitar and bass and records his own music. His greatest drumming inspirations are Travis Barker, Atom Willard, Keith Moon, and Dave Grohl. He enjoys all kinds of music and his go-to bands are Blink 182, Movements, Nirvana and Title Fight.
With a positive mindset and a creative spark, he’s excited to help anyone discover or deepen their passion for drums.
